Aeroporto di Genova chooses clarity & quality
|
On the 22th of July, another airport has started announcing with the AviaVox system. The airport of Genoa, in Italy, has chosen for clarity and quality in a multitude of languages. Next to the Generic AviaVox system, the airport will also operate the Airline-Gate-Client starting from September this year. Hereby, the airport is enabled to support the airlines boarding procedures with announcements in the restricted area of the gate. Gate staff can focus on passenger assistance due to the automation of the gate announcements.
As a third part, Genoa aiport will also use the AVIS -Aviavox Information System- which is a combination of an interactive voice system (IVR) and a system that dynamically generates automatic announcements of actual flight information in multiple languages. The system interfaces with the airport’s operational database and retrieves real-time flight data and other information for passengers and meeters/greeters. AviaVox has filled the gap in the process of informing passengers by automating the last part of the IVR system that is handled by an operator.
Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport The airport handles around 1.5 mln passangers a year and is built on an artificial peninsula, about 6 km from the city centre, in a position that unites convenience of access with easy connections to the main local and national transport systems.
Cristoforo Colombo airport plays a key role in the development of the local economy, serving the Port of Genoa, important manufacturing companies, successful research institutes, famous tourist resorts, modern conference and trade fair facilities, as well as some remarkable artistic and cultural attractions, the heritage of Liguria's long and original history.
To offer carriers and users quality of service and constantly improve the integration of Cristoforo Colombo Airport with the local economic fabric, Aeroporto di Genova S.p.A., the airport operating company, has made significant investments in upgrading the infrastructure of the entire airport complex, in professional staff training and in initiatives to enhance the value of the tourist and conference offering in Liguria. All this gives Genoa Airport a decisive competitive edge in attracting new carriers and introducing new regular and charter services.
